I appreciate the opportunity to be your counselor. My philosophy of counseling uses a person-center approach to therapy. By this I mean that people are resourceful, capable of self-understanding, trustworthy, and are able to make the necessary changes they desire in their life. By working together, I will help you identify your goals and create your desirable treatment plan to manage your existing problems. I help you create an environment that fosters growth and change. My approach to counseling takes into consideration the whole person body, soul and spirit. I will help you create a plan that is tailored to you individual needs and personality. If appropriate to your treatment and is your desire, Spiritual issues may be discussed if requested by you with full knowledge and consent. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Corban University in Salem, Oregon. Major course work included human growth and development, child and adolescent issues, family therapy, and group dynamics. My experience as professional bilingual counselor for the past 6 years has been working with individual’s ages 6-80 and their family’s to address issues of emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being. As a counselor, I assist the client to process and work through painful issues that come up in the various spheres of life. I offer a range of out-patient services that included mental health assessments, individual/couples/family/group counseling, case management and consultation.
