I believe that mental health is about learning how to live in a way that achieves happiness–with yourself, in your important relationships, and in your work. Just as you can learn habits that improve your physical health (exercise, healthy diet, good sleep routine), you can learn to behave in ways that promote your mental health. I will work with you to solve the problems that you want to solve–and help you get clear about what is preventing you from solving them. I know that everyone has unique strengths and challenges and I will help you understand these. Even though your problems might not seem as important as the things that affect other people, I believe that we all deserve to be happy and love our lives. Your problems will be important to me. I have 20 years of experience as a professional counselor and a lifetime of learning and living to gain the knowledge and insights that can help you. It is very courageous to begin this process.
