Hello and welcome! I am Angela Green. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia for 16 years and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor for 17 years. Through our counseling relationship, my goal is to provide you with a trusting and supportive environment with opportunities for self-discovery to live a fuller, more complete life. My therapeutic approaches include mindfulness, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapies to assist you in challenging negative thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes and the resulting associated behaviors. Also, to help you stay in contact with the present moment regardless of unpleasant thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations. In addition, I use other therapy modalities to explore one’s past to work on unresolved emotional wounds. The focus of treatment is to improve emotional regulation and develop coping strategies to help you navigate the world around you and thrive in school and work and maintain meaningful relationships. You may be experiencing feelings of anxiousness, social discomfort, stress, overwhelmed, low confidence/ self-esteem, an intellectual disability, parenting or family discord, or you may be a student struggling in college or life’s challenges and/or transitions.
