I am a mental health counselor licensed in the state of Florida with 8 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, private homes, and addiction treatment centers. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southeastern University and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach catered to the individual needs of the client; drawing techniques from client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, adaptive information processing (AIP) theory, and other evidence based treatment models. I have training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, play therapy, and adoption competency. Currently, I work in private practice and provide treatment for a range of symptoms and disorders, including anxiety and depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, abuse, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, addiction, self-esteem/body image issues, and adoption related issues. I am passionate about helping people heal and find hope. I believe that everyone’s journey is unique and important, and strive to provide a warm therapeutic atmosphere in which clients feel accepted and comfortable exploring their past and present difficulties.
