Hello! My name is Beth Allen and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Fully Trained EMDR Therapist (seeking EMDRIA Certification), and a Nationally Certified Counselor in Pennsylvania. Counseling is my passion, and my approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), motivational interviewing, dialectic behavioral therapy, mindfulness, inner child work, person centered, psychoeducation, mind/body connection, and others. With over 20 years of experience in therapy and counseling, and 12 additional years in human service, my work settings include community mental health centers, substance abuse treatment, private practice, crisis hotline, group private practice, physician’s office, telehealth, schools, and residential facilities. My experience covers a wide area of concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, guilt & shame, self esteem, stress, and emotional abuse.
