I have been in private practice for over 25 years. I’m credentialed as a LMFT and LCDC therapist in Texas and LCMHC in North Carolina. I provide therapy for adolescents, adults, couples and families dealing with a variety of mental health and addiction issues. My role is to listen, encourage, educate and empower. My theoretical background is psychodynamic. I specialize in a variety of collaborative outcome focused approaches which include CBT, EMDR, trauma focused and client-centered. I believe providing a safe, warm, accepting and non-judgmental environment creates a platform for establishing a relationship and exploring the client’s challenges and desired goals. Finding a good fit in therapy is important. Establishing a rapport in which the client feels heard, needs met, goals established and a process put in place, enables the client to move forward in a healthy, positive direction.
