Hello, I’m Brigitte Kay and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Florida with 20+ years’ experience providing counseling and support to adults, youth and children in military, Hospice, non-profit, community-based, and academic settings, both internationally and domestically. As a social worker, helping individuals, children and families manage stressors and be successful is a priority. My experience includes, but not is not limited to, deployment and reintegration support, relationships issues, crisis interventions, stress management, grief, child behavioral concerns, academic support, occupational and other individual and family issues. My job as a counselor is to provide a safe and secure setting that allows a person to feel comfortable being their truest self as we work together as a team to sort out concerns, issues and goals. I provide client-centered short-term, solution-focused counseling. I focus on a person’s strengths and goals to determine and prioritize steps to achieve their goals. I believe my role is to support a person in their journey to maintain or improve their daily living, to help a person realize and maintain what’s functioning well in their life, as well as, help them realize areas that may need adjustments and repairs to live the best life possible as they define the idea of “best life” to be.
