My name is Carrie S. Davidson. I earned a Masters of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University, A& M University in 2005. I am licensed as a LPC, #6503, In addition to being licensed as a LPC in Louisiana, I hold a National Certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC#888026). I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I, the Counselor having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem stations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals. I approach counseling with an eclectic approach. I use various approaches such as a cognitive-behavioral, existential, integrative, mindfulness-based (MBCT), motivational interviewing, person-centered, psychodynamic, reality therapy, and strength-based (including Christian principles) perspectives in that patterns of thought and actions are explored in order to better understand the clients’ problems and to develop solutions.
