One of my favorite mentors/authors/ counselors is quoted to say “owning our story, and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.” Brene Brown. I firmly believe in this quote and work to apply this to my personal life. Learning to be brave and loving ourselves on the journey we are on brings freedom from the multitude of stress life throws our way. My counseling approach focuses on finding those moments of courage and vulnerability to tackle life’s struggles. I find that when clients can explore their values and strengths and pursue their goals and dreams they find the most success and peace in life. My counseling approach utilizes ACT, Solution Focused, CBT and Narrative Counseling Theories. I have ten years of professional experience working as a counselor. I have extensive knowledge working with addictions, as well and depression, low self-esteem, anxiety and stress management. In addition I have strength in addressing grief and loss as well as career issues. I have a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Master degree in Mental Health Counseling.
