Hello, My name is Christie Hunt and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. As an undergraduate, I attended Texas Tech University, where I earned a BA in Psychology. I then moved to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University where I received my Master’s of Science in Counseling. I have over 10 years experience working in the behavioral health field I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, family and marital conflict, parenting issues, and grief/loss. I have many years of experience working in crisis management, trauma recovery, and substance abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I establish a therapeutic relationship with my clients and find the approach and interventions that work best for each individual. My approach incorporates cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, person-centered and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our sessions to your unique situation and needs.
