I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and have worked as a counselor for over 13 years. I have a Bachelors’s in Sociology from the College of Charleston and a Master’s in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia. I have worked in a variety of school settings and with agencies throughout my career. I have experience working with individuals struggling with identity development, irrational beliefs, low self-esteem, mood instability, relationship issues, and negative self-talk. I believe in creating unconditional positive regard for my clients, so they feel comfortable sharing their stories. Using client-centered, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy, I work to help my clients gain control of their unique story. I assist clients in identifying their strengths, coping skills, and reflect on patterns. There are many obstacles that we will all confront, but I believe the paradigms with which we view these from can be transformative.
