Hello! My name is Daryl Bahn, and I am licensed as a therapist (an LPC in the state of Missouri), with an MA degree in licensed professional counseling. Since 2010, I have done many different kinds of counseling in a variety of different settings, including trauma work, general mental health, case management, working with severe mental illness, and working with co-occurring disorders. I have been in private practice, a community mental health center, and a non-profit organization. I have also worked as a clinical supervisor, and as a behavioral health consultant in an emergency room setting. I enjoy getting to meet and do counseling work with all kinds of people. I often tend to be client-centered, and enjoy doing many kinds of expressive therapies, such as music and art therapy, but I am also familiar with and use other forms of therapy as well, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I do what I can to adapt my approach to the needs of each individual client. I like to help people focus on their positive qualities–not just their problems–and will work with you to give you whatever tools you need to build your confidence that you can effectively deal with the situation you are now facing. Your counseling needs and any concerns you may have are important to me, and I appreciate that you are willing to talk with someone about what may be some difficult topics for you. I will do all I can to be responsive, understanding, and compassionate as I work with you to hopefully be of assistance in successfully making it through this tough time in your life.
