About me
Having to face difficult challenges is an expected aspect of life. However, feeling overwhelmed or consumed by these challenges can cause negative feelings such as stress, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. These feelings can negatively impact your ability to function well and can interfere with your overall quality of life. Many people experience these negative feelings, and it is okay to seek and utilize resources that can assist you during difficult times.
Counseling is my passion, and if I can assist someone in overcoming a difficult challenge, then I have fulfilled my purpose. As a counselor, it is my goal to help you achieve your self-determined goals while providing opportunities for problem solving and growth. With the use of therapeutic interventions, I intend to provide guidance in helping individuals gain self-awareness, clarity, and understanding in one’s life views and choices.
I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. I use person-centered, holistic, multicultural, and a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques when helping individuals, but I primarily use evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused counseling. It will be my pleasure helping you live your best life.
