I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 3 years of clinical experience. I have had the pleasure of working with clients who present with an array of diagnoses and concerns including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, adjustment disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, ADHD, bipolar disorder, reaction to stress, grief, self-harm, and self-esteem. My therapy style is warm and accepting. To many, my therapy style has been described as “laid back”. I take pride in my ability to effortlessly connect with individuals, creating a space that makes one feel comfortable within minutes of engaging with me. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity. I am one who is always honest, no matter how difficult the subject. My approach consists of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic, gestalt, strengths-based, solution-focused, and task-centered therapy. I understand that all approaches do not work for everyone, which is why I tailor interventions and approaches to meet the needs of those I work with. I also enjoy implementing unconventional interventions that allow individuals to express themselves through music, art, or poetry. Throughout my years of experience, I have found that I learn just as much from my clients than they learn from me, which is why I love being a therapist.
