I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 + years of experience as a mental health provider. I hold multiple degrees; including a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science; a Master’s degree with a concentration in Secondary School Counseling and Counseling Psychology and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. I have provided treatment in community outpatient locations; psychiatric hospitals; residential treatment facilities and elementary; middle & high school settings. These opportunities have contributed to my extensive understanding; belief; and practice associated with psychotherapy. I work from a strength-based perspective; encouraging self-compassion and positive self-regard. I believe in establishing a positive working relationship with patients in order to create a healthy therapeutic rapport. Treatment modalities include; psychodynamic theory; family systems theory and cognitive behavioral therapy. I’m also a Christian who often finds it helpful to incorporate biblical principles in a practical manner. This faith- based treatment assists in completing a holistic approach of addressing mind; body & spirit.
