My name is Eric, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in the Central Florida Area. My Bachelors Degree was conferred by Rollins College with a major in psychology, summa cum laude. I received my Master’s degree from Rollins College as well in Mental Health Counseling, graduating with honors. I have worked with a variety of challenges and populations, including community mental health, schools, groups, families and couples, as well crisis response. My work has focused on more pervasive mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, thought disorders, and parent training. I am a nurturing parenting facilitator and have a background with applied behavioral analysis. I am also trained and certified in clinical hypnosis, working towards an approved consult status to continue teaching the skill. My approach when working with clients is to build rapport and connection, allowing their goals and needs to be understood and heard, particularly with a nurturing and compassionate approach. I find that in our society, we often do not truly listen or appreciate what others may be saying, making the work of a counselor that much more important in different lives. I often utilize a mindfulness approach and existential discussion with my clients, enabling them to consider themselves and the role they fulfill in their own lives.
