About me
I am a Texas based, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 3 years of counseling experience as a COPSD therapist. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, substance abuse and addiction, as well as, co-occurring issues which include: depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, bi-polar and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). I also have experience working with grief and helping those navigate the loss of a loved one.
My experience has included group and individual therapy in both residential and outpatient settings at a nonprofit substance treatment center, which handles co-occurring mental health issues. During my time there, I have the privilege of helping those who have both a substance abuse issue and a mental health concern. My approach to counseling is Centered Person, which is being anchored in both spirit and mind, logic, emotion and physical reality. I practice a nonjudgmental approach to therapy.
I am a caring and approachable therapist who works with clients in a collaborative partnership. This partnership is a therapeutic alliance that requires mutual trust, honesty, respect, communication, as well as, the drive and desire to do the work to improve your mental health. I am excited to work with you on your journey to better mental health.
