About me
Evan began his counseling career at a Children’s Hospital on the Home-Based Team, specializing in community-based Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). This evidence-based approach empowers families by strengthening attachment and teaching effective parenting strategies to address disruptive behaviors. He later joined the Early Childhood Mental Health Team, where he became trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a trauma-focused therapy designed to help children and caregivers process and heal from trauma together. In addition to PCIT and CPP, Evan is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.
With a holistic approach to care, Evan understands that seeking help and engaging in counseling can feel intimidating. He creates a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and valued. Recognizing the transformative power of relationships, he prioritizes building strong, trusting connections with his clients and their families. Evan’s compassionate, collaborative style is grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth and positive change.
