With over 25 years experience as a therapist, I have extensive knowledge in working with teens/adults, first responders, and military with PTSD/complex traumas, grief, and eating disorder issues. Other areas of specialty include: LGBTQ, couples therapy, women’s issues, sexual/physical abuse & medical/health issues (cancers,infertility,etc.). I use a variety of approaches such as DBT, CBT, IFS, EMDR, and client centered therapy. I am designated a certified trauma treatment specialist, board certified expert in traumatic stress, board certified professional counselor, and a licensed mental health counselor. I hold the status of diplomate for both The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and The National Center for Crisis Management. I specialize and am certified in the state of the art therapy called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults to facilitate the healing process. I also use an integrated approach including psychodynamic therapy, internal family systems therapy, cognitive processing therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and client centered therapy to personalize the process for each patient.
