My name is Jacquelyn Mentor and I have experienced many difficult times such as the loss of a child, parents, and husband. At one time I was a divorced and remarried, which made me a single parent for a few years. I was a care taker for both my parents, plus I am a breast cancer survivor. I am survivor, because of my faith, family , friends, and professional help. I have a B. S. and M.S. degree in Psychology. I also earned an Ed.D degree in Counseling Psychology. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Supervisor. My experience includes over twenty decades of working with families in the areas of domestic violence, child abuse, marital counseling, developmental disabilities, school issues, parenting skills, widowhood, anger management, behavioral issues, conflict resolution, relationship problems ,trauma, and crisis issues. My goal is to listen, be non-judgmental, supportive, be sympathetic , empathetic , be respectful, and provide a warm safe confidential environment. I will also provide you with some tools in the form of helpful resources, because psychoeducation is very important.
