My name is Jeanette “Jan” Kaschmitter and I have been a licensed therapist in Washington State for over 20 years. For the last 13 years I have worked in fully integrated mental health and substance abuse programs. During the course of my career I have worked in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric and a tribal clinic. I have provided individual, couples, and group counseling to primarily an adult population. The methods I use come from several different therapeutic models. Some of the specific techniques used are derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I consider myself eclectic in nature and strive to meet the individual needs of people served. I have specialized training in grief and loss, trauma/sexual abuse, anger management, co-occurring disorders, and pain management. It is my belief that we are all capable of healing and reaching a healthy balance in our lives. There is no greater privilege than to take this healing journey with someone and to see how much they can truly achieve. I am very blessed.
