About me
I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Kentucky by the National Board of Professional Counselors to provide mental health counseling. I graduated from Mid-Continent University receiving a B.A. in Missions and Evangelism. I obtained my M.Ed., in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Murray State University, Ky. I have over 7 years of experience and extensive training in treating adolescent and adult behavior concerns. As well as, 4.5 years training and experience in suicide crisis prevention and intervention. I have worked with clients with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I am certified in Person Centered Approach, Grief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Race-Trauma and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Therapies. I also work with couples to strengthen their relationships and offers divorce counseling to those who are considering divorce or have made the decision to split.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and client-centered therapies. However, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
