About me
Hello! I am so excited to have the opportunity to tell you a little about myself and how I can help you become the best version of you!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned my Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and Master’s from The University of Chicago. In addition to my clinical social work background, I also received training from Duke University’s Integrative Health Coaching program and continued to become a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I am passionate that each of us matters and has a purpose in this life. By combining my clinical training and my integrative and holistic health coaching, I will help you get to the place where you want to be.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, with individuals who were experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. When working with clients, I use a strength based and eclectic approach with techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness stressed based reduction. It is important to me that I not only understand the symptoms, but also get to know the whole person and work from a holistic perspective. I feel passionate about helping my clients realize their potential and supporting them as they work toward their goals.
I consider myself a lifelong learner and am always excited to add strategies or techniques to my knowledge base that will be helpful to you during our sessions. We are all unique individuals. What resonates with one person, may not be helpful to the next. We can always think outside the box and figure out what might be the best for you!
I think it is important to work from a strength based perspective. Sure, we have all had moments in our life when it’s hard to see those strengths, but we all have them! I will help you find those strengths and past successes and we will use them to help you move forward.
CHANGE IS HARD, FOR EVERYONE! But by creating small steps and building on them, little by little, your small successes grow into your big successes. I believe in self compassion and positive self talk, movement and breath, nurturing and nourishing your body and mind.
Reaching out and asking for help is a sign of strength. My commitment to you is to provide a warm and supportive environment where you are able to explore and grow. I’m so honored to have the opportunity to work with you. Thank you for taking the time to begin this journey with me.
