About me
For over 20 years, I have worked with people exploring the depths of their individual life stories and the meaning that these stories hold for them. With insight, warmth, and intuition I will help you understand your purpose and walk with you as you begin to better understand yourself, the relationships you are in, and and the challenges you are working with.
I take a strengths-based perspective and have successfully worked with adults of all ages who:
-Consider themselves to be a highly sensitive person or an empath
-Healing from grief and loss after traumatic experience
-Making difficult life transitions
-Coping with a serious health condition
-Providing care for a family member with a serious health condition
-Confronting stress and anxiety
-Dealing with mid-life challenges as well as aging
-Exploring the meaning of spiritual life
-Overcoming compassion overload and burnout among front-line crisis workers
-Balancing work-life in professionals (i.e., executives, health-care providers, clergy, etc.)
-Dealing with issues faced by women
-Challenges faced by LGBTQI persons
-Neuropsychological assessment
My main hope for my clients is that they can live their most authentic and full life with compassion for themselves, others, and the world we live in. I want to walk along with you on your life’s path to help enhance your health and well-being. I use a range of therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic and transpersonal psychology, mindfulness and other contemplative practices, dream work, somatic therapy, and subtle energy work. I have also been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and will tailor our work to your specific needs and circumstances.
I do believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I look forward to meeting you!
