I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 16 years of experience in child welfare and mental health. I have had the pleasure to work with many wonderful people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, post partum depression, PTSD, OCD, parenting concerns, conflict due to divorce and relationship issues. My counseling style would be considered non judgmental and direct. I believe that everyone deserves respect and dignity and has the power to “take captive” any thoughts or issues that hinders them from living their life to the fullest. I am a mental health professional who believes that I don’t have the power “to fix anyone.” Everyone has the key to their own healing but sometimes needs a neutral person to create the space that allows the key to unlock the answer. My approach combines psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused counseling. I don’t use a cookie cutter treatment plan and am always striving to create a space that “meets you where you are.” Life is full of choices. To not make a choice is still making a choice.
