Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida, and have been working in the field of Social Work for 7 years with a focus on counseling. This is a second career for me, but I have always worked as an advocate and supportive adviser. I received a Masters degree, and an Aging certificate from Florida Atlantic University where I graduated with highest honors from the College of Social Work. My counseling style is warm and interactive, and my focus is on helping my clients discover and refine their strengths to achieve their identified goals in order to enjoy their lives to the fullest. I do not subscribe to a “one-size fits all” approach. My goal is to address each client’s specific needs and concerns and tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Using a client-centered focus, I assist clients in finding clarity, by working through complex emotions, identifying and changing negative thinking patterns and finding new ways to cope with difficult situations. Many of my clients are looking to address concerns such as depression, generalized anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, and guilt. My treatment approach combines using theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness.
