I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with my Masters in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health. I have worked in many different levels of care in the mental health field including outpatient, residential, emergency, inpatient, day treatment, and in-home therapy. My primary focus is helping people to cope with symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as emotional regulation. Evidence base modalities used in treatment for clients include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to provide psychoeducation, coping skills training, relaxation skills, positive self-talk, and thought challenging.
