I am an LMSW with over 24 years of experience working as a counselor in Michigan. I have worked with children and adults with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, parenting concerns and life changes/challenges. I have also supported many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. Clients who have worked with me in the past have described my practice as warm, open and free of judgment and pressure. I tend to take a Cognitive Behavioral and Solution focused approach with a focus on developing a trusting, safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. One of the first things I frequently ask clients is “when will we be done, what will be different in your life that will help you feel that counseling is no longer needed”. For many, this is a very difficult question to answer. Often, we have a better understanding of what we don’t want rather than what we do want. With time, together, we can define and reach those goals.
