About me
I am a mental health counselor licensed in Florida with both professional and life experience dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have worked with a wide range of clients dealing with those issues and more. Depression and anxiety are as much physical as they are emotional, and you should know that you can feel better! As for trauma, studies are now showing that it can affect people’s mental and physical health over their entire lives. I am committed to helping these individuals heal so that their traumas do not have to dominate their feelings and control their lives.
I use a variety of techniques, from just listening and talking with my clients to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, which is a very powerful method used to help people resolve traumas. I offer a warm and welcoming safe environment in which to process events and feelings. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and compassion, and I will work with you to figure out what you want to work on, where you want to be after therapy, and how to get there.
The hardest step is always the first one: making the decision to move toward a change. If you are ready to take that step, I’d like to be there to support, guide, and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
