About me
I am a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology in 1999 from Grand Valley State University. I have a passion for working with adolescents, adults, elderly, and couples, with a specialty focus on depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, self-injury, grief/loss, women’s issues, and life transitions.
My goal is to provide you a safe, compassionate space for you to share your life, for optimal growth and healing. My counseling style is person centered, tailored to the individual goals and needs of my clients utilizing cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, behavioral, and solutions based therapies.
Having worked in the mental health field for 16 years, my experience has allowed me to assist many people and their families with varying backgrounds dealing with challenges such as; chronic mental illness, severe depression, anxiety, terminal illness, self-harming behaviors, and crisis intervention.
Are you ready to experience joy and hope again? I would like to come alongside you in finding the root causes of distress in your life to overcome unhealthy behavioral, and/or thought patterns allowing you to break free from simply surviving.
