I am an LCSW and have been licensed in California for 19 years. I believe that everybody is unique and that one approach doesn’t fit all. My approach to therapy is integrative. I combine evidence based treatment with intuition to tailor therapy to each person’s needs, taking into consideration their strengths and weaknesses. I use mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy and elements of other therapies. I have an interactive style and I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment that promotes safety and trust between therapist and client to help clients explore and resolve life challenges. I have experience working with adults struggling with anxiety, mood problems, life transitions, trauma, relationship problems and grief/loss issues. I have worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient adult psychiatric unit and outpatient behavioral health clinics. I have specialized training in treating trauma, depression and anxiety, using Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
