Hello! My name is La-Shieka and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults and families for over five years. I’ve primarily worked in an inpatient psychiatric and behavioral environment and through the years I have learned that sometimes all it takes is a safe space and safe person to get you through a tough situation. My therapy style is client-centered (it’s all about YOU) and holistic with some humor sprinkled in. I believe a person is more than just the decisions that they have made or the events that have happened to them. Therapy is one of the hardest decisions a person can choose to do. There will be tears, moments of silence, serious conversations, laughter and moments of relief. You just have to trust the process and trust that WE are in this TOGETHER!
