I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in Florida. I’ve been working with families, couples and individuals since 1999. I’ve worked primarily in community mental health with families and children. I have deep experience in domestic violence and sexual abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicide prevention as well as gender and LGBTQ issues. I believe in putting the client in “the driver’s seat”. I place a high value on the autonomy of the people I serve. You are the the best judge of what you need (although, it’s not always feel that way). I enjoy working from a client-centered perspective, but I draw from other evidence based practices as well, especially Cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and family systems theory. I also pride myself on working with people from a variety of cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. I truly honor and enjoy the unique character and journey of the person I am working with.
