About me
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working as therapist and leader in the Army. I have a PhD in Social Work from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas @ Austin. My areas of research are moral injury and moral distress.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including grief/loss, relationship, family, and parenting challenges, adjustment challenges, and trauma with a special focus on combat related trauma, PTSD and moral injury . My counseling style is interactive and warm. I consider the client/therapist relationship to be the most important component in the therapeutic relationship. I will always be respectful, compassionate, and honest. Our sessions will be focused around your needs and goals.
I consider myself a strength based, solution focused therapist. I have been trained in other treatment modalities as well to include EMDR, CBT, ART, and CPT.
It takes internal strength to ask for help. I would love the opportunity to help you figure out what will make your life better and more fulfilling. I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
