I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with 4 years of experience working as a counselor and behavioral specialist. I have a vast background in several different careers, from regional management, project management, human resources, and even teaching. I earned an MBA in project management and finance, before becoming a licensed teacher utilizing my bachelors degree in biology. Throughout my teaching experience I learned how traumas in childhood can impact someone through their adulthood. Therefore I went back to school and earned my masters degree in clinical psychology, since then I have worked in inpatient and outpatient substance clinics, forensics with incarcerated individuals, the general public, and the school system. My love and passion is to help others overcome the obstacles that they face with their mental health, and find a way to become happier and healthier in their everyday lives. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, relationship issues, career challenges, psychotic disorders and episodes. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse and have post-traumatic stress disorder. There is no “magic wand” that works for everyone so I take a cumulative approach to therapy with cognitive behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy at the forefront. I aim to create a space where you will not be judged, but will be unconditionally supported as we navigate through your concerns and fears. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and will bring my expertise in therapy to collaboratively find the relief and the balance that you seek. In every session, you will be met with kindness, unconditional positive regard and a dose of humor. You will do some hard work, but you won’t be doing it alone.
