My name is Lisa and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse fields. I believe we can invoke the healing in our life when we choose to walk away from darkness and move ourselves towards a brighter life. My theoretical orientation is person-centered. I believe all humans have strengths and have the capacity to grow, change, and heal. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing modalities in my counseling practice as well as meeting the client where they are at in their healing journey. I believe that therapy is a collaborative practice with the client in the driver seat – you are the expert in your own life!
