Hello, my name is Lori and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I obtained my bachelor degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 1999 and my master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University in 2004. I have over 16 years of experience working with adolescents and adults through all sorts of issues including but not limited to Bipolar Disorder, familial stressors, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, low-self esteem, abuse, LGBTQ and Schizophrenia. My experience stems from a variety of settings including private practice, individual therapy, group therapy, residential and outpatient programs, home visits and non-profit agencies. I primarily utilize cognitive-behavioral and psycho-education therapy in order to help my clients achieve their goals. However, every client is different and so are their needs. I believe in focusing on client’s strengths, treating everyone with respect and without bias. This is a judge-free zone! It takes a strong person to reach out for help and I look forward to hearing from you and working with you at your pace. Therapy is work and at times will not be easy, but the reward is plenty!
