Hello! My name is Lou and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Originally from New York, I earned my MSW at Howard University. I also hold a graduate degree in Forensic Psychology. I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including community health based organizations, inpatient psychiatric units and out patient work with individuals, children and families. I am well versed in school based mental health and also have experience in court and legal settings in both New York and Washington DC. My approach is client centered. I am committed to meeting clients where they are, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment. My work spans across diverse populations, with a special focus on BIPOC communities. I strive to incorporate an understanding of cultural perspectives into my practice. This holistic approach ensures that each client’s unique background and experiences are respected and valued.
