I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker – LCSW in Utah with 10 years of of experience in the mental health field. I’ve worked in both clinical and in hospital settings. Before coming to the U.S., approximately 13 years ago, I was also a therapist in Brazil for 10 years 2001-2011. I am not a psychologist in the U.S.; however, a LCSW as above mentioned, psychotherapist. I am experienced with Gestalt Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy/Rogerian, CBT – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT – Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, MI – Motivational Interviewing and other modalities. I have focused work with teens, adults and older adults as my preferred clientele population. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, depression, anxiety, BPD – borderline personality disorder and more. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
