I am a licensed certified social worker for about 30 years. I have worked with families, children and couples in addition to strong background in mental illness. My approach to the therapeutic process is a cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe gaining insight is only half the work; the second part is implementing changes in behaviors and thoughts. I believe homework for clients can be useful and is helpful for the client to identify his/her own gains and areas of continued work. I believe every individual has the capacity to change.
