I have been providing individual therapy in a medical setting for approximately six years. My main focus has been providing emotional support to expectant and postpartum mothers. I am familiar with Perinatal Mood Disorders, and the emotional dysregulations a woman experiences during pregnancy and postpartum. I also work with crisis interventions related to the medical field, such as adjustment to illness and grief and loss. My main focus is to meet the client where they are at, which requires flexibility and active listening. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to improve emotional dysregulation. I focus on collaborating with clients to outline their strengths for desirable outcomes. I treat clients with the respect and integrity they deserve, regardless of socioeconomic status, education, sexual preference, and ethnicity.
