I am a Tampa Native, reared in Gibsonton, FL., graduated from East Bay High School, and currently live in Riverview with my amazing husband Ryan and our dog Ernie. After high school I joined the US Navy, I was a Hillsborough County Detention Deputy, I was the Manager of Inmate Records and Court Services for Orange County Corrections and all of this prior to returning to college and becoming a Mental Health Therapist in 2012. I am a Graduate of the University of South Florida with a Master of Arts Degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH 14267), I am recognized as a Qualified Professional by the State of Florida, I am a Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I am a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida. I am a member in good standing with Suncoast Mental Health Counselor’s Association and I can also be found on Psychology Today’s website. My vast career experience includes individual client therapy, group therapy, and management of large client groups. I am skilled at brainstorming, analysis, compiling of data, and computing skills. I have written Standard Operating Procedures, created and assumed the roles of leadership and incumbent positions, and have postured as the Agency Liaison for two large treatment agencies in the State of Florida in Hillsborough County. I have vast experience in the Courtroom, managing both large and small groups of peer professionals, and I have extensive community and workplace experience. My focused communities are Law Enforcement, Veterans, Military, and LGBTQ. I have concentrated professional training in substance abuse, trauma therapy, CBT, DBT, and I work from the person centered and solution focused approach.
