The toughest part about therapy is finding a good therapist. I want to help make this process as easy as possible for you. As a dually licensed multicultural mental health therapist I work with clients with a number of different issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem related issues, sexual issues to name a few. I have various certifications such as National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Board Certified Sex Therapist and have training in different types of modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). Additionally, I also received my PhD in Sexology which has helped me specialize in any issues that have to do with a person’s past and present sexuality but also how sexuality is a fundamental core concept that affects every human being. My goal is to help my clients create a change they want to see. I am the founder of a private practice called Mind Wellness Center that offers counseling in five different languages (English, Spanish, German, Italian and French) to local clients and tele-health clients abroad. Apart from my day job I am also an avid animal lover; fostering, owning and helping local rescues with volunteering. I have four fur-babies, one of which actually makes an appearance in the Miami Children’s court or UM Hospital from time to time, helping ease anxiety and working as a therapy dog.
