About me
Hello. My name is Muneerah Uqdah and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing individual and family counseling to children, teenagers, and adults for over 9 years. I have worked in a variety of setting such as community mental health agencies, juvenile justice system agencies, private practice and community health centers. I have my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have utilized an array of treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Child–Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Taking the first step to seek professional help can be difficult and daunting but that first step is all you need to start your healing journey. I am passionate about helping others get through life’s toughest challenges and stressors whether it be how to resolve that conflict at work or school to struggles with trauma, depression and anxiety or to gain more self awareness and insight. Through a client centered and collaborative approach, I will work with you to accomplish your goals, gain insight, and help you become the best version of yourself. No matter where you are in your journey, I offer a safe and non judgmental space for my clients to express themselves openly and freely. I hope you allow me to help you through your transformation. The journey is yours and I look forward to taking it with you. Let’s do this!
