Previously, I was a Middle School Teacher for many years and enjoyed working with young teenagers. After some time, I went back to school for professional counseling. I have extensive education, training, and experience that helps me to provide you with various proven and innovative therapies. I would describe myself as a creative and engaging, eclectic counselor who utilizes many tools and treatment options from various disciplines to provide you with care that meets your interests and circumstances. I also have taken courses in Christian Education and Biblical Counseling and believe that when people incorporate faith in their treatment their healing can be more complete. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, self esteem & confidence, and life transitions. I also address mental health issues surrounding adoption and foster care, trauma, and chronic pain . I am certified in a treatment modality called Brainspotting, which is similar to EMDR. Brainspotting is a mind-body therapy that helps reduce and heal trauma symptoms and can be done via telehealth modules.
