I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have over 10 years of experience practicing therapy in the greater Tampa Bay area. I’ve counseled in a variety of clinical settings including community centers, residential programs, church ministries, and private practice, which has led to an expansion and extensive development of my experience and professional work. I specialize in providing support to adults who are experiencing challenges with emotional health, relationships, work stress, and life transitions. I firmly believe every individual has the power to come out of their difficult times stronger, happier, and, most importantly, healed. What many may not know is that I not only graduated with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, but I also earned a Master’s degree in Sociology from Boston College, one of the nation’s foremost universities and leading institutions in research. Here, I led a research study on the resilience of people who have endured struggles and obstacles, identifying the characteristics and traits that assist people in overcoming life’s difficulties. While in Boston, I was also asked by Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Division of Student Life to help build a center that promotes relational bridges and interpersonal communication. As you can see, my clients receive a multifaceted treatment plan that is adaptable and personal to them. I recognize the importance of treating the individual and not simply a population or demographic. My sociological, psychological, and spiritual experience provides my clients with a clinical approach that cannot be found anywhere else.
