About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Washington State with ten years of experience working with people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life-changing situations. It takes incredible mental and physical effort in order to be done successfully and therefore tests a person’s ability to challenge irrational beliefs.
My approach is solution-focused, client-centered, and strengths-based. I assist clients in identifying and challenging harmful thoughts and replacing them with a more realistic, healthy perspective. I work with individuals or couples to utilize the main components of cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. Cognitive therapy focuses mainly on thought patterns as responsible for negative emotional and behavioral patterns.
When working with clients, I make the therapy experience safe, respectful, authentic and affirming. You are the narrator and navigator of your life. You are the expert with unique values and needs. I enjoy working with clients open to making changes and creating meaningful fulfillment.

I received a Master’s in Social work in 2011 from the University of Washington School of Social Work. I have more than 15 years of experience in social services working with a range of people experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, family conflict, and symptoms of severe, persistent mental illness (SPMI). Over the past five years, I have worked in private practice with a wide range of mental and behavioral health needs. I can collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team – psychiatrists, primary care, and social service agencies.
Locating a therapist whose personality and style will assist you in developing the appropriate skills is essential but necessary. I look forward to helping those to effectively pursue their values and explore what keeps them from being the best version of themselves. Today is a good day to start.
