My name is Rashad. I’m a 45 year old married African American male who was born in Chicago and currently lived in Indiana. I have worked in community mental health since 2004 beginning as a home health aid to developmentally challenged adults. I have also worked as a home based case manager with severe mentally ill patients and as an outpatient case manager. I have worked as a home based family therapist and have over the past 10 years worked as an addictions outpatient therapist. I have completed my bachelor’s degree in the field of human services in 2006 and my Master’s degree in Education Counseling with the focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. I have chosen to work in the field of addictions for over 15 years because I enjoy to see people grow and develop. I know and understand the impact that addiction has on individuals and families and proper treatment can improve the lives of the entire community.
