About me
I am a licensed mental health therapist in the state of Georgia with over 5 years of experience working as a clinical mental health therapist. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, Bi-polar, Schizophrenia, OCD, ODD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style has always been focused on building a strong therapeutic alliance with my client. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My motto is that we all have bad situations in life (death, abuse, divorce, etc.) that we experience in life that can trigger some negative thoughts, emotional feelings, etc. and it is important to respond to these situations in a healthy manner or we tend to stay in that negative space longer than we ever intended. I have been there. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT, rational-emotive counseling, and client-centered therapy. My goal is to walk with you through your healing journey as you take steps towards accepting but not allowing challenging events to define who you are and take control of your life.
I realize that it is not easy to admit that you need help, but that is the beginning of change!! If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
