I am a national certified counselor (NBCC) and a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York. I have been working in the field of mental health counseling for eight years, helping people from different backgrounds as they struggle with anxiety, depression, grief after losses, couples issues and stress and trauma-related disorders. I consider it a privilege to work supporting people as they face life’s challenges, providing emotional support, and working collaboratively to learn positive ways to cope and to find appropriate solutions. This means that I do not presume to have all the answers but I can work with you to help you find them. Nor I see my role as a counselor as someone who has to give you advice in every session. Instead, I respect and acknowledge my clients as people with strengths, experiences and emotional and intellectual intelligences who have the capacity to find solutions with the appropriate support and collaboration. Together we will explore your current situation, identify specific issues you want to work on, set goals and explore solutions.
